Vehicle Description
The SL that reinvented the roadster formula — this 2004 Mercedes-Benz SL500 still turns heads with its retractable hardtop party trick.
A naturally aspirated 5.0-liter V8 powers this SL, paired with a 7-speed automatic and rear-wheel drive, delivering smooth, effortless power in classic Mercedes grand-touring fashion. This generation of SL was the first to bring a fully retractable hardtop to the nameplate, transforming from coupe to open-air roadster in about 16 seconds.
This SL500 is finished in designo Graphite Metallic over a Charcoal interior, a sophisticated combination that highlights the R230-generation SL's sculpted, muscular lines. It remains one of the most usable classic Mercedes roadsters, combining coupe-like refinement with genuine open-top fun.
Showing 51,391 miles and rated in clean condition, this SL500 has been well maintained and has passed Violet Auto Centre's full inspection.
